Smart mines, a new threat

The Chinese madd rush to build artificial islands in South China sea equipped with runways for medium range bombers has forced the US Navy to introduce a generation of sea mines that would change the art of sea blockades forever. The new smart mines are fitted with wings and can be dropped from B52's flying at 35000 feet above the ocean, then glide up to 40 miles into enemy territory and loiter around until pre-programmed coordinates are found,waiting in deadly silence for a trespasser to get lucky.
