Is USS "Gerald Ford" obsolete?

Promised for delivery in 2014, US Navy’s most advanced aircraft carrier has seen a string of delays, including problems with the ship’s runway systems, munitions and weapons logistics, and defence capabilities that makes it very doubtful that it can join combat on the first day of service. At a cost of $13 billion and 2 billion over cost, the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) is the Pentagon’s most expensive warship.
