A market drop ahead?
Stock buybacks by companies are the lowest of the year in January, only 3% of the total which in general does not bode well for the markets. The commercialization of the the holidays also leaves the consumers with less money to spend since the bills for all that fun and joy needs to paid, yet another hit on spending. If we survive until the end of the month with positive bank balance, we may expect not necessarily a great, but hopefully a good year.
