Andy Martin speaks of "zeitgeist" or particular period in history, and he thought that America today is like 1968, but was corrected by a critic named Harold Bloom that is more like 1934. Why do lefties always resort to Hitler when things don't go their way? When Hitler was elected Chancellor of Germany, the country was just out of Weimar disaster with citizens having two spectacular choices: starve to death and pay reparations under treaty of Versailles until year 1968, or vote for Hitler and die on the Russian front. America is not even close to that category and Trump was elected by a landslide. So to draw a parallel with 1933 Germany is truly idiotic and irresponsible.
