A city of Kingman, Arizona employee was arrested by DHS ICE police and charged with four felony counts of theft for stealing $990,000 dollars from city coffers. She used the money to pay her personal expenses by charging city's credit card for $120,000, and also raked large debit balances in some nearby casinos.

In an extreme case of offence to the deeply hurt and traumatized citizens of Houston, Texas police started receiving disturbing reports of people wearing "Special Agent" ICE badges, who asked house owners to evacuate quickly from their neighborhood, just to return shortly and rob the property.

DHS Department has sent 200 ICE officers from all over the country to help Harvey victims in the Houston area, despite extremely difficult conditions, including polluted flood waters and an inability to reach everyone who needs assistance. Team members have rescued over 100 people in distress using an improvised military vehicle and a Ford F-250 pickup truck.
“I couldn't be more proud of our teams responding to Hurricane Harvey. These officers dropped everything and drove cross country to help in any way they could,” said Caleb Vitello, ERO SRT unit chief. “They knew they were going to be in extremely hostile conditions, working long hours, sleeping in their cars, and eating MREs. Even knowing this, literally every team was knocking down my door requesting to be the first one deployed.”

Atlantic fleet ships USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) and USS Oak Hill (LSD 51) were ordered down to Texas shores to provide medical support, maritime civil affairs, maritime security, expeditionary logistic support, medium and heavy lift air support, and bring a diverse capability including assessment and security.
Kearsarge along with Marines from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit will depart Naval Station Norfolk on Thursday, Aug. 31. Oak Hill will depart from Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story.
